CVE-2026-104760
weDocs: AI Powered Knowledge Base, Docs, Documentation, Wiki & AI Chatbot <= 2.6.1 - Authenticated (Contributor+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'modalPlaceholder' Block Attribute
Description
The weDocs: AI Powered Knowledge Base, Docs, Documentation, Wiki & AI Chatbot plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'modalPlaceholder' Block Attribute in all versions up to, and including, 2.6.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Because Contributors can save posts in pending status, a malicious payload in the modalPlaceholder block attribute will execute in the browser of any admin or editor who previews or views the pending post.
