CVE-2026-109226
SGLang through 0.5.21 Audio Decompression Amplification via load_audio
Description

SGLang through 0.5.21 contains a decompression amplification vulnerability in load_audio that allows remote attackers to exhaust memory by submitting highly compressed audio decoded without duration or sample limits. Attackers can supply small FLAC-encoded silence files through audio_url or audio_data inputs that expand into massive PCM buffers, exhausting worker memory and CPU for denial of service.

Solution
Update SGLang to patch decompression vulnerability. Limit audio buffer sizes and validate input.
  • Update SGLang to version 0.5.22 or later.
  • Implement strict limits on audio decompression.
  • Validate audio input size and duration.
  • Monitor system resource usage.
CWE - Common Weakness Enumeration

While CVE identifies specific instances of vulnerabilities, CWE categorizes the common flaws or weaknesses that can lead to vulnerabilities. CVE-2026-109226 is associated with the following CWEs:
