CVE-2026-119600
tcpflow through 1.6.1 Out-of-Bounds Read via TCP Demultiplexer Payload Length
Description

tcpflow through 1.6.1 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to read process memory by sending packets with forged IP payload lengths. Attackers can inject crafted IPv4 or IPv6 TCP packets into captured traffic or pcap files to leak adjacent memory into reconstructed flow files or crash tcpflow.

Solution
Update tcpflow to the latest version to address memory reading and crashing vulnerabilities.
  • Update tcpflow to the latest version.
  • Apply vendor-provided patches or updates.
  • Validate the integrity of captured traffic.
  • Monitor for any unexpected application behavior.
CWE - Common Weakness Enumeration

While CVE identifies specific instances of vulnerabilities, CWE categorizes the common flaws or weaknesses that can lead to vulnerabilities. CVE-2026-119600 is associated with the following CWEs:
